Dr. Chris Shivers, a Stillwater area native, graduated from Stillwater Area High School in 2000. She moved back to Washington County after completing degrees at St. Olaf College in 2004, and Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.
Dr. Shivers joined the At Home Animal Clinic staff shortly after graduation, and has enjoyed building long-term relationships with her clients and their pets. In January 2016, Dr. Shivers and Dr. Phillips jointly purchased At Home Animal Clinic from Dr. Art Rutscher.
Dr. Shivers lives with her husband, son, daughter and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys playing in the handbell choir and singing in the chancel choir at church, spending time outside, playing with her son, reading, and sewing. It is her love of sewing that has led her to an interest in soft tissue surgery.
